Big Slick is an intimate boutique steakhouse and bar from Michelin-starred chefs and Austin-based husband-and-wife duo Phillip Frankland Lee and Margarita Kallas-Lee. Located in the heart of East Austin, the restaurant draws on classic French technique and old-world sensibilities through a distinctly chef-driven approach.

Guests enter through an unmarked door on East 6th Street, ringing a bell before being welcomed into a candlelit bar. Beyond the curtains, the dining room centers around a wood-burning hearth, where premium beef, game, and seasonal ingredients are cooked over live fire. Big Slick is entirely a la carte, allowing guests to build their own experience. Beef is sourced exclusively from Lobel’s of New York and dry-aged in-house, while tableside preparations bring the kitchen’s craft directly to the dining room. From the bar to the hearth, every detail is designed to make the chef-driven experience part of the meal.
